On December 05, 2003 Brian Bennett provided verbally his OK for shows from his band The Biddy Bums to be archived at archive.org:

When asked after the show at the LeStat's show on 12/5/03 if the policy fan Tyler Huff had e-mailed to him a few weeks prior was cool, Brian gave his okay for it, saying the policy was good and to proceed.

------------
The Biddy Bums archive.org policy:
------------
Before a show is to be imported and made public, the band wants to make sure certain songs are not included in the recording. After you are done with the recording, type up a setlist. If you don't know the song titles, write down the first few words of each song. Then e-mail that to the band at thebiddybums@yahoo.com . They will write back with what songs you have to cut out before you make the show public.

Before you upload and make public the show, clean up your file names and the md5 checksum file.

For example:

If the setlist of a show was like this:

d1t01 - D.J. Day
d1t02 - Lady J.
d1t03 - Song 3
d1t04 - Off Beat Skipp'n

The band would write back and say they want song 3 cut.

Now you as the uploader cut it, but change the file names of the remaining tracks so that the future listeners aren't confused why the track numbers jump:

thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t01
thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t02
thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t03 <-- **CUT**
thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t04

becomes ...

thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t01
thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t02
thebiddybums2003-11-06d1t03

don't forget to also change the file names in the md5 file so that the checksums run cleanly. To do this, right click the md5 and choose 'edit':

becomes:

6a8a5ad404306392e9ac2b8a33f426c4 *biddybums2003-11-06d1t03.shn

and lastly, in the setlist .txt file change the song numbering so it matches your files. Note in the notes that some songs were cut out by request of the band.

That's it! Upload away after this is all done. Spread the music and support local bands and local music!
